Heirloom Tomato Transplant Sale with a Taste of Spring Garlic:
Susan & Richard Sisti of Catalpa Ridge Farm are pleased to announce they will be holding their 7th Annual Heirloom Tomato Transplant Sale Memorial Day Weekend at Olde Lafayette Village. The sale will be held on Saturday & Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend (May 23rd & 24th) from 10 am to 4 pm on both days. Over 80 varieties of heirloom tomatoes will be offered including some common varieties, such as Pink & Yellow Brandywine, Rutgers, Black Krim to some very unusual varieties such as Pineapple, Black, Red Peach, Schimigg's Striped Hollow, White Potato Leaf, Box Car Willie, Mortgage Lifter and many more. The transplants will be offered in 3" and 4 1/2" pots.
They will also have a selection of vegetable transplants such as peppers (hot & sweet), eggplant, onion, squash, cucumbers and more.... In addition to the transplants, there will be a taste of "spring garlic" at the event, with bunches of spring garlic greens grown at Catalpa Ridge Farm also available for sale. You will be able to taste pestos & dips made from the early spring garlic and recipes will be available.
